🐾 Meet Tally

Age: 5 years old
Role: Reluctant Adventurer
Known For: Soulful eyes, snack theft, and being everyone's favorite realist

Tally, Tally, Tally... what can we say? She’s five years old, full of opinions, and very clear about her ideal lifestyle—which, to be honest, involves less running and more binge-watching Gilmore Girls. She embraces her middle-aged mom bod (though we’re not sure she’s ever actually been a mom) and brings a steady, grounded energy to the pack... mixed with a bit of sass.

Hunting isn’t really her thing. If she had her way, she’d be home lounging, asking for cantaloupe. But when it’s time to go and the rest of the pack heads out, Tally’s got a serious case of FOMO. Given the choice to stay or go? She always chooses to go—with a smile.

You’ll usually find her toward the back, lagging a little, asking politely, “Do we really have to keep going? And where’s the next water station?” But if something exciting happens, she’s suddenly rushing to the front, caught up in the action like she’s been leading the charge the whole time. Classic Tally.

At home, she’s known for her soft brown eyes that look straight into your soul, her long, velvety ears, and her lightning-fast ability to counter surf the second your back is turned. (Her love for cantaloupe is well documented—and fiercely pursued.)

Tally moves quick—but not for long. She prefers the kind of pace that leaves room for sniffing, stretching, and surveying. And while she can get a little grumpy when other hounds crowd her space or get too rowdy when she’s relaxing, she still has plenty of playful spunk. In the yard, she’ll chase and romp with the youngsters, proving she’s still got it—when she feels like it.

Tally is beauty, wit, and low-key rebellion wrapped in a soft-eared package. She reminds us that joy can be slow and steady, and that sometimes, showing up (even a little late) still counts for a lot.
