🐾 Meet Quazie

Age: 7 years old
Role: Elite Huntress
Known For: Quiet excellence, the shiniest coat, and a heart that always finds its way home

Quazie may be small and unassuming, but in the field, she’s pure precision. At 7 years old, she’s one of our most skilled and reliable huntresses—sharp, steady, and always tuned into the work. Flashy? No. Effective? Absolutely. She knows exactly what she’s doing and lets her nose do the talking.

Her favorite hunting partner is Nooner, and you’ll almost always find the two of them working quietly in sync, reading the ground and covering the line with focus. Quazie isn’t concerned with being in front or back—she simply follows the scent, always grounded, always sure.

She’s also one of the few hounds who spends more time on the people side of the house—a sign of the trust she’s earned and the connection she shares. Her impeccable manners and calm presence have made her a cherished house companion, often found sleeping curled up with Beasy on the couch. She prefers to sleep in a pile, always intertwined with someone she loves.

In the early days at Comanche Creek, when the fencing wasn’t yet secure and the hounds would sometimes get out, Quazie always found her way home—alone, quiet, and certain. That deep sense of loyalty and her ability to navigate back through the unknown have made her a symbol of quiet resilience. These days, the hounds are more content to stay put—but Quazie’s unwavering instinct left its mark.

She’s playful with the younger hounds in the yard, often leading a gentle game of chase, and though generally calm, feeding time brings out her excitement. She barks with anticipation—joyful and bright until the food arrives.

And when she’s not hunting or curled up inside? You’ll find her lounging on the hound patio, content to soak up the sun, keep a watchful eye on the world, and enjoy the peace of her home.

And that coat? Glossy, smooth, and radiant. Even the sunlight stops to admire her.

Quazie is the kind of hound who teaches you that strength can be soft, leadership can be quiet, and home is something you carry with you.
