🐾 Meet Oops
Age: 7 years old
Role: Veteran Observer
Known For: Quiet confidence with a dash of mischief—and a smile that never fades
Oops may not be the loudest or flashiest hound in the pack once the hunt is underway, but when it’s time to go—you’ll hear him loud and clear. He barks with excitement the moment he senses it’s time to hunt, rallying the pack with his deep, eager voice.
In his prime, Oops was a standout in the field—skilled, steady, and ready for anything. He was bred multiple times before joining Comanche Creek, and we’re proud to say that Westover, one of our finest hounds, is his son. As time passed, the long days of traditional hunting began to take their toll. Though still eager and able, Oops’s age began to show, and he’s now enjoying our shorter and slower hunts.
Now at seven years old, Oops still has the heart of a champion. You won’t hear his name shouted often during a hunt, but when there’s action, he’s already there—right at the front. He blends in effortlessly with the pack, staying out of trouble and navigating the field with quiet precision.
If you're looking to spot him in the field, it’s easy—he carries a bold “O” marking on his back, as if he was born with his name stitched in by nature itself.
At home, he retreats to his favorite sanctuary: the back hound bedroom, with a wall-to-wall futon beds and cozy white rugs. It's his peaceful corner, away from the hustle, where that ever-present smile softens into full relaxation.
And while he's a pro in the field, Oops still has his mischievous moments—gate-jumping from a standstill, counter surfing, and the occasional trash can raid. He’s always sorry, and he’s working on it—what was once a daily occurrence is now a rare, cheeky slip.
With his experience, his voice, his smile, and his gentle leadership, Oops reminds us that a true champion never really retires—he just learns when to rest, and when to bark.
